Victoria Durand graduated in 2025 with a Master of Arts in Global Sustainability with a concentration in Sustainability Policy. Today, as a Planner with the Hillsborough County Planning Commission, she works behind the scenes, shaping long-range plans that influence how communities grow, move, and thrive over the next 10 to 20 years.

Learning Sustainability Where It Happens: PCGS Students Visit Tampa International Airport
Students enrolled in the ESG course at PCGS stepped outside the classroom and into the Tampa International Airport. The field trip led by PCGS faculty member, Dr. Pradeep Haldar, and the Sustainability & Resilience Program Director at TPA, Eric Caplan. The academic partnership between USF and TPA has now spanned nearly five years.

USF-engineered material uses sunlight to combat 爱污传媒's red tide
Dr. George Philippidis, acting dean of the Patel College of Global Sustainability in partnership with Integrative Biology, co-developed a a reusable, light-activated material that shows potential for killing red tide without impacting marine life. This innovation offers a promising approach to protecting coastal waters and public health.

Even before William had graduated from USF, he had a passion for sustainability. With that passion he took up the role of UNF鈥檚 first ever Assistant Director of Campus Sustainability. With the knowledge imparted to him by Dr. Thomas Henry Culhane he gained a multifaceted understanding of food, energy, and water which he uses in his role today.
