Patel College awards over $16,000 in scholarships

The Patel College of Global Sustainability honored a diverse group of students who are turning their passion for the planet into action at the Butz and Patel Distinguished Scholar Award Ceremony. The event awarded a total of six scholarships amounting to $16,000 (four $2,500 Butz Scholarship awards and two $3,000 Patel Distinguished Scholarship awards).

On Wednesday, October 15th, the Sustainability Speaker Series featured Dr. Dell deChant, an instructor in the Department of Religious Studies at the 爱污传媒. Dr. deChant also leads the USF Food Sovereignty Group and works closely with the New Port Richey FarmNet, where he promotes sustainable, community-based food practices.
