Honors Graduate Celebration Ceremony
Judy Genshaft Honors College Graduate Celebration Ceremony
Each semester, the Judy Genshaft Honors College recognizes the achievements of its graduates during the Honors Graduate Celebration Ceremony. Family and friends are invited to join this special event to celebrate and support these outstanding students.
The date, time, and location of the ceremony are announced each semester and shared with graduating students via their USF email, social media, and the student newsletter.
Honors students from all campuses are encouraged to attend this special event in addition to graduation ceremonies on their home campuses.
Honors Completion Requirements
During senior year, students should:
- Meet with the departmental advisor of your major to do a final graduation check to ensure you are meeting all of your major requirements.
- Meet with an Honors College advisor to ensure that you are meeting your Honors curriculum requirements.
- Submit a Bachelor Degree Application through Student Self-Service.
- Check that you have received your Honors scholarships for meeting curriculum requirements. If you have any questions regarding these, please email the Honors records coordinator.
- Please note: Some college deadlines, including engineering, are earlier. College of Business requires an additional application worksheet. Please consult your department advising office for specific information.

Registration Information

After submitting their university graduation application, students will receive an email from Honors Records with instructions on their eligibility for graduating with Honors distinction.

After a student completes their Honors graduation requirements, they will receive an email to complete an Honors Graduation Celebration Ceremony survey. This survey information will be used to recognize each graduate individually during the ceremony. Surveys will be sent starting mid-semester.

All Honors students must complete this survey and submit their bachelor's degree application. The deadline for completion will be listed in the email.

Dress Code
The dress code for the ceremony is professional attire. Caps and gowns should not be worn at the Judy Genshaft Honors College Graduate Celebration Ceremony. Acceptable attire is what you might wear to an interview.
At the ceremony, we will gift you an Honors medallion to wear at USF commencement. This special Honors medallion identifies you as a Judy Genshaft Honors College graduate and cannot be purchased at the bookstore.
University Commencement Ceremony
As an Honors student, there are two main ways to celebrate your accomplishments: the and/or the Judy Genshaft Honors College Graduate Celebration Ceremony.
If you are only participating in the university-wide commencement ceremony, you may pick up your Judy Genshaft Honors College medallion in the Honors College. However, you must complete the Judy Genshaft Honors College Graduate Celebration Ceremony survey before receiving your medallion.
