USF Pearls

At USF, we are committed to supporting your success both inside and outside the classroom. As part of this commitment, we provide dedicated services for students with lived experience in foster care, as well as those who self-identify as homeless or unaccompanied youth. Our goal is to offer an additional layer of guidance, community, and resources to help you navigate barriers and achieve your academic and personal goals.
How the Program Can Help You
- Campus navigation support: Assistance with completing waivers, forms, and accessing resources to make your transition to campus as smooth as possible.
- Financial assistance: Support for one-time unexpected costs, such as groceries, rent, or other urgent needs, with help from USF Foundation and community partners.
- Individualized mentorship and coaching: Connections to faculty or staff mentors, peer coaches, and counseling services tailored to your needs.
- Community events and engagement: Opportunities to meet students with similar experiences through events like our
Genspiration onboarding program, Friendsgiving, volunteering opportunities, My Next
Chapter Celebration, and more.
