Graduate Curriculum Process

Key Dates & Deadlines

Processing Dates (for updating the 2026-2027 Graduate Catalog):

Faculty are encouraged to submit their proposal in Modern Campus Curriculum (MCC) (formerly called Curriculog) as soon as possible and to not wait for the Deadline day for submission.

  • Deadlines for GRADUATE Curriculum:
    • August 2025 - Curriculum opens for Graduate proposal submissions
    • October 13-17:  Five Year Course Discontinue Report generated, sent to Colleges
    • October 31: Highly recommended date to submit course changes
    • November 7: Five Year Course Discontinue Report due back to OGS
    • December 2nd @ 5 pm - Deadline Day -Last day to submit a proposal!*
    • January 30, 2026 @ 5 pm - Recommended deadline for College approval step in Curriculum for all proposals update to deadline from Jan 23 to January 30.  OGS will work with colleges that had proposals delayed in getting to the College approval step.
    • March 12, 2026 @ 5 pm – Deadline for course changes to be approved by the Graduate Council and SCNS, with the RO notified to make course effective for Fall 2026.
    • March 16-20, 2026 – Registrar will update Banner and schedulers will update schedule for fall registration, which begins March 30.
    • April 6, 2026 - last GC Curriculum meeting to have all proposals approved for the 2026-2027 Graduate Catalog
    • June 15, 2026 - Target "go live" preliminary publication date for 2026-2027 Graduate Catalog.

*Deadline to initiate any new, changed, or discontinued curriculum and course proposals, including courses discontinued from the Five-Year Course Discontinue Report.  Curriculum closes @ 5 pm for any new submissions.  Proposals in process will continue with processing. Note - "initiate" means the form is started, "saved," "launched," and "approved" by the faculty proposer to move the proposal forward.

Note - these are deadlines for graduate curriculum.  For undergraduate curriculum refer to the Office of Undergraduate Studies for deadlines and information.
