Course Permit Requests

Some College of Education courses are only open to students majoring in education and others are available to students pursuing a major outside of the college.

If you receive an error message while registering for a College of Education course that indicates that registration will not be complete without a major permit, the information below will help you direct your request for a course permit to the right staff member.

To request a course permit:

  1. Identify the prefix for the course you are interested in registering for.
  2. Send an email from your USF email address to the contact person listed next to the prefix in the tables below.
  3. In your request, include your name, UID number, course information (term, prefix, number, section, and Course Reference Number [CRN]). A CRN is a unique 5 digit identifier assigned to a class for registration purposes, and the reason you are seeking to enroll in the course.
  4. You can expect a response to your email within 2-3 business days of making the request.
