Yang Hu Receives 2024 Chih Foundation Research & Publication Award

Congratulations to Yang Hu, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Medical Engineering at the °®ÎÛ´«Ã½, on being selected for the prestigious 2024 Chih Foundation Research and Publication Award. This highly competitive award honors outstanding third- or fourth-year doctoral students who are conducting transformative research with strong potential for real-world impact.

Yang is mentored by Dr. Norma Alcantar, a professor known for her innovative work at the intersection of biomedical and environmental engineering. Under Dr. Alcantar’s guidance, Yang is contributing to cutting-edge research focused on sustainable biomedical materials and advanced purification technologies—projects that have the potential to improve both human health and environmental outcomes.
