As the USF Institute of Applied Engineering, Inc. (IAE) enters a new chapter, we take a moment to recognize the remarkable leadership that has shaped our organization and welcome the leaders who will guide us into the future.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Darren Schumacher for his exceptional service as President and CEO of IAE. Under his leadership, IAE experienced tremendous growth, strengthened its partnerships across government, industry, and academia, fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration, and secured transformational opportunities that have positioned the organization for continued success. His vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire our team for years to come.
As Dr. Schumacher begins his well-deserved retirement, we are pleased to welcome Taylor Johnston as the next President and CEO of IAE and Executive Director of the Global and National Security Institute (GNSI). Having served as IAE's Chief Operating Officer for the past three years, Taylor brings a wealth of operational leadership, military experience, and a deep commitment to advancing our mission. We are excited for the future of IAE under his leadership as we continue delivering innovative, mission-focused solutions that support our national security partners.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to General (Ret) Frank McKenzie U.S. Marines for his leadership as Chair of the IAE Board and for his contributions to advancing USF's national security enterprise. His guidance has been instrumental in IAE's growth and success, and we wish him the very best as he begins his new role as the 21st President of The Citadel.
Please join us in thanking Dr. Darren Schumacher and General Frank McKenzie for their outstanding leadership and congratulating Taylor Johnston on this exciting new chapter. We look forward to building on the strong foundation they have helped create and continuing to connect academia, industry, and government to solve our nation's most complex challenges.
