Our Mission

The mission of the °®ÎÛ´«Ã½ Policy Exchange Center on Aging is to provide timely, high-quality research and policy analysis to public officials, program administrators, and other stakeholders concerned with °®ÎÛ´«Ã½â€™s aging population; specifically assessing the health and well-being of older adults. As part of the School of Aging Studies at the °®ÎÛ´«Ã½, it brings together faculty and students on projects that promote age-friendly principles, engage the community and further the research and education mission of USF.

  2. Lindsay Peterson, PhD, research assistant professor in the School of Aging Studies, and undergraduate students Coral Morley and Arianna Verdecia recently created a disaster preparedness website for First Contact (formerly 211 Tampa Bay Cares), with funding from the state of °®ÎÛ´«Ã½.

  3. Lindsay Peterson, PhD, and Debra Dobbs, PhD, of the USF School of Aging Studies, collaborated with Senior Connection Center to produce a sweeping review of the needs of older adults (age 65 +) in the center’s five-county service area. The synthesis of demographic and key informant data will guide planning for this burgeoning west-central °®ÎÛ´«Ã½ region with nearly 600,000 older adults.
