Research Interests
Dr. Yulin Yang is a social epidemiologist specializing in aging and a 2026 National Institute on Aging (NIA) Butler-Williams Scholar. Her research integrates social epidemiology, health services research, and gerontology to examine how social and structural determinants influence chronic pain, cognitive health, functional aging, and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Using longitudinal population-based data, causal inference methods, and quasi-experimental designs, she generates policy-relevant evidence to reduce health disparities and promote healthy aging.
