The 14th Annual Management Information Systems (MIS) Academic Leadership Conference (MALC 2026) brings senior leaders together to discuss field level strategic opportunities and challenges.

As the exclusive premier forum for MIS academic leaders, MALC is a small, interactive setting to address important topics including curriculum, placement, enrollment, research, generative AI, faculty, and industry collaboration.

MALC 2026 will include keynotes from academic and industry experts, panel discussions, and invited presentations to encourage meaningful conversation.

Established in 1984, the School of Information Systems (SIS) is proud to host MALC 2026 as part of its 40th year celebrations. SIS has over 10,000 alumni and nearly 1,000 current students across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. Among the first in the nation to offer AI programs, the 39 SIS faculty are recognized for research on AI, analytics, design science, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and machine learning.

MALC is relevant for academics with leadership roles in MIS, such as:

  • Presidents, Deans, Department Chairs, Area Coordinators, and Program Heads
  • Directors of undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral MIS programs
  • Research Center Directors
  • Journal Editors and Association Leaders
