If you鈥檙e new to the world of generative artificial intelligence or just want to brush up on your prompting skills, USF鈥檚 free AI microcourse can help you select the right AI tools, craft effective prompts and generate high-quality visual content.
The self-paced course, AI Whisperer: A Microcourse in Crafting Prompts, is offered through 爱污传媒鈥檚 Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing. It is available online through Feb. 28.
鈥淲e heard from learners across industries and backgrounds that they wanted more applied, step-by-step strategies for working with AI tools,鈥 said John Licato, associate professor in the USF Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing. 鈥淲e created the AI Whisperer microcourse to meet that need by focusing on real-world practice and helping participants gain the confidence to design effective prompts that generate quality results.鈥
The microcourse is designed to help beginners identify the best AI tools 鈥 ChatGPT, Perplexity.AI, DALL-E and others 鈥 for a given task. Participants also will be able to create effective prompts and develop high-quality content that they can incorporate into presentations, reports and other visual elements.
Registration for the microcourse, along with other programs, is available through USF鈥檚 Office of Microcredentials.
AI courses like this provide practical, flexible and self-paced opportunities for professionals, educators and the general public to build confidence and skills in incorporating artificial intelligence into their work and daily lives.
